Utah 993s touring in western Wyoming?????
Heading back from Salt Lake today on the last leg of my trip home from the Watkins Glen PCA Club Race, I encountered a string of 993s and and newer 911s coming down Salt Creek Pass on US 89. Looked like Utah plates.
They were moving at a... uhhh... brisk pace
No time to even dig out the cellphone cam
Anyone here part of it? Looked like fun.

I don't think I could make it home in 20 hours droving the race car, let alone towing it.
No, the car only had to go to Eurosport Racing in Chicago. And it was on the transporter.
Delta wasn't ready when I was, but they got me to SLC late last night. Drove a third of the way home. Finished the trip this morning. That's when I saw the line of widely spaced 911s enjoying the pass and its curves.
Have you raced at WG, Mark? Great track.
The race gods flicked me off on Saturday, but smiled broadly on me on Sunday. Racing is fun when the good day is the last day

Did my very first race at the Glen even though I had never been there. I can blame Manny Alban for pushing me.
I've been there four or five times. It's my second favorite track, Road Atlanta being a close first.

Yikes! Talk about being thrown into the deep end of the pool! And by El Presidente no less. (He was spotted walking around over the weekend)
It's a great high-speed track, full of history. Esses are a hoot, though I had no idea just how fast they were til I looked at the smarty cam.
Rained yesterday for the Enduros.
I love Atlanta, too. Road America as my home track, and Sebring for the history, and the warmth in February. (Though I swear each year I'm never coming back, cause the place beats up the car so much)

Are you racing at Miller next weekend?

I was wondering if you were in the group...
Hope you had fun at the wedding.
I won't be at the Miller race. My race shop in Chicago doesn't go further West than Brainerd, and I don't think my old Durango tow vehicle would make it over the Rockies. Plus our Region's annual dinner is Saturday night, and I'm a director. (Also it's my wife's birthday -- no way am I off racing )
We'll meet up one of these days...

The IRPCA usually tours to Jackson once a year. This year it is scheduled for June 15-17 but I will be in CA tasting wine [roll eyes]. There's definitely something wrong with my social calendar booking service this month.

I'll be driving and instructing in the DE on Friday. Racing is beyond my budget.
