Default Memorial Day

To the families, friends, and comrades-in-arms of the Brothers and Sisters who died in the service of our country: Their and your sacrifice will never be forgotten…I think about it every day

Ditto. An immeasurable debt we owe.

In memory of my room-mate at OTS, Capt Doug Bradt, USAF EF-111 Pilot, KIA Persian Gulf War (1991).

You are not forgotten...

We honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, all veterans who've served and those who do so now. "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance"

On this kickoff to the summer season let us not forget what this holiday is really about. Say a prayer for the fallen and injured of those who serve in our military.

I spent several years in the USAF in the early 70's, as a physician, helping to process people out of VN as the war was 'winding down'. It was a sad time for many, and for their families. Memorial Day, really May 30th, should be held sacred in our country's history, for them and others who sadly followed in the throes of tragic wartime service.

Lucky me to live in this great country where many brave men have served and given sacrifice for me and family. God Bless them all!

A day of reflection for what we have due to those who gave so much. My freshman year roommate was just married this week. He's been recovering for two years after stepping on an IED and losing both legs. Another classmate who played the church bells with me at West Point sadly lost his life in Afghanistan less than a year after graduation. The nicest man you could ever meet. Be thou at peace, Dave.

I'm glad that we can take today to reflect on those that gave 'the last full measure of devotion' to our nation.

There were no flag wavers, airport greeters, prades when we came home, only turmoil and distrust. It is the reason that to this day many of us don't talk about our tours. What many do not understand is we were mostly conscripts as the draft was in effect. \

Thanks for serving, you guys are the reason many of us are here today, and thanks for the kind words. The wall in DC is very moving place to visit and a reminder that "all gave some and some gave all"
