Congrats on the car!

California also requires a front plate. This was my solution; not totally elegant, but better than on the front bumper:

This post applies to me too. And yes, I have several "veiwing areas" in my garage.

To the new owner, Congrats. You came to the right place for sure. Enjoy your beautiful new ride and start your upgrades...now.

Post some more picts on the way.

Congrats and welcome to the forum! Going on 8+ yrs now and still never get tired of staring. As for front license plates, I never put them on even with the family minivan and have yet to be cited in probably 500k miles of driving in California (knock on wood)

Congrats on the car, love the color
I have had mine since march and I still can't stop staring at it. I find myself staring back at it after I park it all the time
I am pretty neurotic about where I will park it
It is also a great community of enthusiasts
This car seems to attract GOOD people

Yes .. but you're in Portland now .. have you done any extensive California driving without a front plate since the recession?

Front plate issue will vary by state - enforcement specifically. Here in Ohio, front plates are required but I have never been pulled over for not having one (on any of my cars). However, if I park at a metered spot, I am pretty likely to get a no front plate parking ticket. Have gotten 3 so far in about 1.5 years. But at $45 a pop, that seems like a reasonable price to pay for not having to put a front plate on. I now there are states where the ticketing rises above nuisance level though.

Congrats with your new 993!

We have the same two plate law - I choose to ignore it.

Congrats-very nice! I've got a plate on the front, I figure there's no need to give them a valid excuse to pull me over if they want to be jerks. Used to be a sign-off ticket, as I recall, but no more...

I live in a two plate state and none of my three cars have ever had a front plate. Was stopped once for a warning in 20+ years.

The 993 is a Garage Queen and goes out every weekend. Now watch, I'll get pinched today!!

Congrats on the new ride...I definitely fid myself just starting at it...others will to...took the fam to Rita's the other night and the guy getting i to his minivan near me said " that's a super-duper car man!"... It will happen to you many times.

Also, the folks on Rennlist are EXTREMELY helpful....just know that there's a direct correlation to the number of posts you start to the lightening of your wallet...but its a good thing, trust. E!
