Tim...yeah, I think I will plan to buy him/us a Treffen trip for next year when he turns 50. I just need to figure out how to do it without him seeing it on a credit card. I am thinking of dipping into our money market account -with he never sees the statement.
Jon... we have a bunch of vacation time to use up. This is the first time in ages we actually use those vacation hours. We definitely need to do this more often!

amazing
One of my mechanics here in sweden just sold a bad condition 96 993 for over 45k-I have been told I could sell mine with just over 60,000 miles in the 70-75k range. I know it is hard to believe but I have been offered more than twice in the last 3 years. Does not seem fair-but what ya gonna do!

There is no way you would get that kind of moolah in American dollars, at least not in the States. I looked up my car for the heck of it on Edmund's one time. It said my baby would only fetch around $17k from the insurance company if it was totaled, max was around $20k from a dealer! I would never sell my car that cheap! I think what it comes down to perceived value. This is why I will only buy through Rennlist. And if I ever sold either car, it would only be to a Rennlister. We love our cars or we would not be here.
So your car may very well be worth that in Sweden, but I don't think (not insulting your baby) you could get that here. Maybe they are more rare there?
