Is it normal for the AC to seem really lound...(with RS trans mount)

More data to point to maybe the RS trans mount was a mistake.
I turn on the air con and I can hear/feel the engine noise/vibration even louder through the car. Is this normal, or is there an issue with the air con?

When I fitted the RS mounts I found that I could hear a high-pitched metallic whistling noise which sounds like it's from the a/c compressor. It's fairly quiet and is only noticable at idle or low speeds.
I find that there is more low-frequency vibration from the engine and engine is louder when revving hard - this is a good thing!
I don't regret making the change at all.
I don't know why you would feel more engine noise when the a/c is turned on.

I have the RS Engine Mounts and have the same high-pitched whistling noise as Leosayer when the aircon is running. I was advised the RS Trans Mount was not a good idea for street use.

I have Wevo engine mounts and RS trans mount, and yes, you get a little extra noise when the AC is on. IMHO, it's the only real drawback to the mods. The AC compressor is bolted directly onto its aluminum mount, which is bolted directly onto the engine. With the stiffer mounts, the vibration/noise comes through. I've been thinking about whether there's a way to reduce this -- say, by putting thin rubber pads between the compressor and the mount.
