Default Operation of Vario Ram Induction System

Does anyone know how a mechanical check can be performed to see if the Vario Ram Induction System is functioning correctly on a 1997?

One check is to turn the key to the #2 position without starting the car. You should hear the 3 actuators cycle. See the link in my sig for more info.

Cheers,

Just turn the car ignition to "on" without starting, the vram flaps should both activate. It will go back to its normal resting position once started, and then move when the appropriate rpm/load is reached.
