Default Cab owners: How often do you put the top back up?
Just curious...the manual says to put the top up when not in use. I do it every night...says it will cut down on wrinkles. How about you fine folks?

I put mine up in my 964 maybe 5 times a year at the most and that is during the winter. After its raised it takes a couple hours in the sun and most the wrinkles are gone.

I have a new top as of two years ago and have left it down for weeks without an issue. It is important to keep the window clean to prevent scratches.

1983 Cab - maybe a dozen times in 22 years
1997 Cab - maybe 4 times in 8 years
Essentially, only if it was raining and I never drive it in the rain (got caught several times, though)

Maybe 3-5 times a year. Only in the winter when it rains or should get too cold. Nobody will see the wrinkles as long as you keep the top down.

I will put it up every couple weeks for at least overnight. Stays up for most of the winter.

Never............. but my top doesn't have a problem with wrinkles j/k but my father in law puts his up every night on his 993 cab.

I had a 993 cab for several years. I once went for 2 years without putting the top up. No issues at all. I did have it converted to manual. My top was only up on very rare occasions.
