Default Calipers Refinished...

I recently had forum member BufordTJ (Travis) rebuild and refinish my calipers in red.
They really turned great and I am super happy with the results.
Travis can chime in with the details.
I will post more pictures once I get the car off stands ...

Beautiful. What is involved in doing that work (dis-assembly, restoration, re-assembly)? Mine don't look too good.

If the only thing wrong with your calipers is clear coat peeling you can clean them up and spray some hi temp clear coat (easily found at local auto parts store). it restores the calipers to their natural shine

I actually like the matt finish under the clear coat...I wish I could strip the clear coat off without damaging the matt finish. Just my 2 cents.

Really clean work, I can tell everything was prepped properly and the finish has a high gloss appearence. Doing the same to mine very soon since I just received my textar brake pads. Could you please point me in the right direction of where you found the white Porsche stickers?

I think Travis will chime in, I let him know that I posted the thread.
And I believe that he would like to do some more

Mine were stripped, refinished and rebuilt. They have 70k on them and I think it was cheep insurance, plus it really freshens up the look of the car... I've already bought 3 sets of rear calipers this year, 2 sets for Ford trucks and 1 for a Subaru - not do to negligence, they all just needed new rears for 3 different reasons. I didn't want to deal with caliper issues after refinishing them, that is why I sent them to Travis to do it right.

I'd be very interested in having mine refurbished if Travis wants to do some more.
