With a heavy heart....I am considering selling my C2s. Help me price it.
I'm writing this post with a ton of trepidation. I don't want to sell. Ten, twenty or even 30 years from now I will probably be kicking my self in the *** for doing this.
Please forgive me as I haven't taken the time to put the full history together. At this point, I'd like to ask the community, specifically, owners...to weigh in or help me with FMV (fair market value).
Short specs:
1998 C2S - Zenith Blue over Cashmere
78K miles
1. PSS10
2. Big Red Calipers
3. Imagine Auto Lower value covers
4. Perfect Power Strut brace
5. Mode solid motor mounts
6. Porsche Cup Steering Wheel
7. Silver gauge faces
8. Rennline carbon heater bypass pipe
9. Lloyd Mats
10. Walrod Bushings
11. OZ Racing Wheels 8.5 & 11
12. Odyssey PC925 with Rennline battery mount
13. Focal 165KRC door speakers - amp under passenger seat

Rare color, and very beautiful against Cashmere IMHO .. but Cashmere is a hard sell for many folks for some reason .. Looks like a very nice mid-high mileage example that's been maintained properly .. I'd peg it between $43 and 45K with a clean PPI just based on what I've seen come down lately ... but of course, this is just my opinion ..

sorry your having to consider selling...I'm a huge fan of the more rare colors, but the "one" for me just turned out to be Silver.
Folks will ask about history-records-accidents/paint work etc...at that mileage, it should be viewed as a no fear driver.
Appears to have standard comfort seats, has the alu bits...shifter and ebrake also. Lots of very desirable mods/improvements for sure.
Personally, I think the color is a BIG adder here..blah, blah, blah, last year of the air cooled, purest in RWD only, etc...etc...etc
How many Zenith Blue C2S's have you...WILL YOU EVER see?
As long as it doesn't have accident history, and the paint is "mostly" original...I'd say solid mid forties all day. This car should leave your hands much faster than you'll be comfortable with.
Many folks are looking on here...your PM box should be full.
Hope your able to either change your mind/situation, or come to terms with the choice.
Best of luck either way...the car is spectacular!

Gorgeous car! I'd go with 45K at least.
Agree with the Pope that cashmere is harder to sell but in your case it ties in really well with the zenith blue. The wheels and suspension are also a plus. Is that winglet on the spoiler removable?

Absolutely stunning color combo! - that will definitely add to the price (for the right buyer -smaller, but more enthusiastic buyer pool for the rare colors).
Only negatives I see are the cup steering wheel & aftermarket rims - If you have the original or a 996 3-spoke - I'd say put that on and sell the cup wheel on it's own. No airbag will turn off some buyers.
The rims are not a big issue, but it would be nice to have something a little more mainstream on there.
Given the miles and mods, it's definitely a driver so I'd peg it at $42K. GLWS

Three Wheelin'
It will bring the most $$ closest to stock appearance, the suspension would be usually viewed as an upgrade. With stock wheels, steering wheel and no rear "winglet" I would say $42-44k.
I don't think cashmere will hurt you as the exterior is so killer!

Hey, is the rare winglet for sale?
Just kidding. That is a nice car and the cashmere looks great with ZB...better than black or grey for sure, I think.
I agree too that if you have the stock wheel, and wheels the car may be more saleable to those who are purists. Sorry to hear you are selling your car, but good luck.
