Very close to me. Scary. Hope they get them. Surprised the 993 (as much as we love them) is a car thieves are looking for though.

Sorry to hear about your car. I had my 94 C4 widebody stolen a few months back from Santa Monica so I definitely know the feeling. I even had lo jack, but the police said it was probably immediately put in a shipping container and out of the country. Fight with your insurance company until they give you a fair price. The good news for me was that I replaced my baby with a 96 C4S. After several crappy months I am finally happy.

Man! It seems like the majority of these are stolen from the Santa Monica, Venice and surrounding beach cities. My only guess is that it's closer to San Pedro (ie shipping port), and that they are expensive areas therefore people have nicer cars so thieves are concentrated there???

Horrible!!!
As a fellow 993-er and a SoCali resident, I mourn your loss man!!!

...I just posted on the other thread on theft prevention ...I think I'll eat my words right about now. But it does say much (or little, really) about whether we can prevent this from the most prepared/determined thieves ...or should I say monumental a-holes.
