Speedo shop in DFW area?
I need an odometer gear replaced on my 993 and was wondering if there was a local to Dallas-Fort Worth area speedo shop anyone could recommend?
Both trip and main odo are not registering - that's what you get when you hit trip-reset while moving out of a gas station on 15yo plastic gears. This is a known issue, with a known repair and source of replacement gear. I'd do the replacement myself except I do not have the tools nor skill to pull and replace the speedo needle.
I've used North Hollywood before (excellent job on dial change to silver), but I'd like to be able to have a shorter turn-around time.
Optimally I'd like to be able to bring the car or speedo in and get the repair done "on the spot".
Bigger plus would be a shop W of 360 as I do not want the OBDii milage reading to be vastly different than actual odo (right now I'm at ~.3mi difference).
