993 TT and cup car caliper question
Does anyone know if the 993 Cup cars used the same front calipers as the 993TT (except black)? I came across a used set at a good price advertised as such, same piston diameters.
thanks

Depnds on the year
They all used the same 322x32 RS 1 piece fronts front, most changed to 32x32 2 piece tt front rotors right away.
in back there were 2 different setups
early used the 964RS which is the same as the small stock 993 rear calipers on 299x24mm normal 993 rotors, later ones used the bigger 322x28mm rotors used on RS and tt and the bigger RS 30/36 rear calipers
As seen on these
red, but still the small 30/34 caliper and 299x24mm rotor
front
front w/ 1 piece 322x32 RS rotors
w/ 2 piece 322x32 tt rotors

thank you again Bill. I do not know how you assembled so much knowledge of these details, much of it seems to be first hand as well.
How did the early cup cars deal with the front bias using the smaller rear set up? I realize those cars are lighter. I have been assuming with TT fronts on a C2 for instance with stock rears would be much greater shift to the front.
