Anyone else following the progress at Otto Fuchs KG?
Just got my email update from the plant and behold a 993 wearing a set of old school Fuchs! 17' and 18". 4 years of German class down the tubes, albeit what I can make out it looks very promising.

Google Translator - just cut'n'paste

For a lot of attention caused our newest addition to the family: the 17 "and 18" Fuchs wheels. On the one side with 17 "and on the other side of the vehicle with a 18" mounted, shining our presentation vehicle - a Porsche 911 BR 993 - the "classic style".
The 17 "wheels accentuate the classic character of this last air-cooled Elfers and move it visually more in the direction of the G-models, while the Fuchs rims in 18" appeals to the more ambitious sporty Porsche drivers who seek the optimum driving dynamics. We had a lot of car talk and were very positive reaction with the more than satisfied.

Let me rearange the words from the google translator a little:

And they are priced incredibly low. Note that their pricing includes 19% MwSt which is taken off when they are exported out of the EU...so divide their prices by 1.19.

As for a translator...take note of the "English" that you can click on...right side of banner.

I'm a little lost in the translation, but I think it is all about the ambitious people wanting optimum dynamics.

Here is the small picture of the cab. They mounted 17" on one side and 18" on the other. Maybe there are more pictures from another source.

Here is the link that was sent to me on email.

I wanted to make sure where these are made and sure enough, they are still "Made in Germany" unlike so many things that have been out-sourced to countries with cheaper labor.

They sent me the first two pics. The frontal view with 18s and the rear view with 17s.

IMO, I'd say those are photoshopped. The apparently "deep dish" looks like the smaller offsets you'd see on a torsion bar car.

It may appear that way, but when you look at the spoke to wheel mating points, they are in quite a bit from the dish of the spoke assembly which sticks out quite a bit.

I like them because of the contrast they would offer to a lighter colored car, like my Speed Yellow. I bought a spare set of Cup IIs to paint a gun metal when I get around to it.
