Default Wheel ET and Spacer Question - NB spec to widebody

I'm considering the purchase of a set of rims for the C2S.

The setup in question has the following (narrow body) specs:
Fronts - 18x8 ET 52 w Bridgestone S-02's - 225/40/18
Rears - 18x10 ET 52 w. S-02's - 285/30/18

I realize that the fronts will be within spec...the rears, as I understand it, require an ET 40 for a factory widebody spec....so it's looking like I'll need spacers.

The question is:
  1. Am I correct in assuming I'll need a spacer in the neighborhood of around 12mm or so? How much latitude do I have on the spacer depth? I don't want to push the wheel 'right to the edge' however, I would like to get a decent stance with filling the wheel well out reasonably
  2. With the spacer...will I require updated (longer) studs
  3. Anyone done something with similar specs and what did they go with in terms of hardware?

Thanks in advance for the collective wisdom of the board...

Cheers!

Get 15mm hub centric spacers that come with lug studs and nuts and call it a day.
