Had to vent:

Got my FIRST door ding on the 993!!!!! (anyone know a good dentless removal doc in Toronto?)

Lost the tiny Porsche crest on my key (any one know where to get a silver/black 993 replacement? - I have a spare coloured one for the 944)

AND got a flat tire (in the 944)

All this week.

If you drive the car often then wait until you have at least three door dings before you call the dent removal guy. The next one will not be nearly as painful. Use it and enjoy it. Do not save it for the next owner.

I have always parked far away from any vehicle at work. But still got dinged. Still depressed as I see it.

It could be worse...the door ding could have cracked the paint.

Call your Porsche dealer and ask who they use for dent repair. Should be about $100 for the repair, that is what it costs here in Vancouver.

Oh man. I'm a hopeless maniacal idiot when it comes to parking any of our cars. I park away from the crowd walking the extra mile. Hey my daily driver now 5 years young is a MY06 VW TDI Jetta sedan which doesn’t have a scratch on it. A large bucket of soapy water every couple of weekends or so keeps the paint finish as good as new. And Zero dings.
I truly feel your pain. If someone were to inconsiderately ding the 993s door I’d shoot the mother****er….. The 3 to 5 years I’d get for assault would be time well spent; So you see,, I'd teach that mother****er! Don’t get me started…. Inconsiderate SOB.

I lost that little crest once too. Was lucky enough to find it in my pocket. Hopefully the superglue job will last another 14 years.
