I've received a few PMs informing me of supposed interest and/or "dibs". These exchanges have gone dry, so at this point the wheels are available.

Since it may take some time to receive the replacment wheels, I will likely have the tires removed this week.

Ok...I'll ask. How in the world can wheels that have actually been on the road be so freaking clean? I have the exact same wheels. They look good on the outside, but the inside is caked with 70K miles of brake dust (not that I really care). I don't think anything short of sandblasting will get that crap off.

Andreas, did you stop your car Flintstones-style and skip using those filthy brakes? Those wheels are amazing!

my guess is he is excavating...BY HAND, the minerals needed to forge his own set. Then, with a freshly molded block of rare earth minerals...he will delicately and deliberately drill, polish, preene, and hone his way to wheel perfection.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and guess that he will substitute clocks for center caps. All permanently set at 9:11 I imagine. Unless, he comes up with an ingenius concentric hub low voltage power supply that works of the brake regenerative principle. In that case, they should really be "spinner" type clock center caps so any passing motorist could always tell the time.

They say punctuality is a virtue, don't they?

Nothing more than a thorough cleaning two or three times a year. They've seen around 20,000 miles of use.

Yes, I'm getting 30" spinners.

Fun fact; the gauge faces are the same size as the Porsche center caps!

Fun fact #2: I just had an old hollow-spoke turbo twist machined to accept a clock body.

Future functional wall wheel FTW!

Very nice...saw you were looking for a rough TT rotor & caliper not long ago; is this going to be the most elaborate clock yet?

Have rotor, need caliper. These are not related to the aforementioned wheel.
