Default Part number request - Varioram runner seal

Hi all,

I've managed to lose a part number that I am not sure I ever had. I am looking for the part number to the six round seals that are inside the Varioram intake that sit on the end of the varioram runners (inside). These help seal the runners to the six passages which lead to the intake trumpets. I could have sworn I identified these but I can't find the diagram or part numbers anywhere. Help would be greatly appreciated!

TIA,

Kevin

Those actual seal the intake trumpets to the head. This is something different. See the picture below

http://www.instant-g.com/Products/36...sion/VRAM.html

The pictures of the trumpets. Has black round rubber seals that he speaks of in his writeup.

Thanks for looking.

Okay, just saw your updated post. You definitely need them in place for the tuning chambers to work properly.

Bob,

They are hard to get off yet still one managed to come off and get lodged in the opposite intake runner. It was disfigured to the point where it did not sit on the trumpet anymore. I cant' imagine that these are only available in as part of the full Varioram unti, that just doesn't seem logical.

I wish I could help, but I'm logging a few hours at the bead blasting cabinet tonight.

At the risk of not being able to procure these seals, I've purchased a Varioram unit off ebay. At least it has the Varioram script, maybe I will switch mine out and do a little buffing of the letters, always liked that.

Just an FYI for anyone reading this thread in the future. These seals are no longer available from Porsche. Varioram unit is only available as a whole.
