Just saw this. Is it just me or are there a disproportionate amount of Vesuvio cars in Belgium?

Did you get an answer yet? I've sent an email to my friend with one and will get back when I hear.

Got a reply. About 10 years ago my friend was at the factory and asked the same question to a representative there he became friends with. His friend checked Porsche records and it looks like there were 23 Vesuvio 993s made. It was unclear if this was total worldwide production or US bound cars. Either way, a very small number. I believe about half of the 993s made came to the US so best guess is between 12-23 of these cars in the US. Maybe someone has those numbers.

Also, my friend said about 6-7 years ago he saw a Vesuvio 993 that had been wrecked and was being parted out. So that would likely put the number left at 22 max in the US.

Wow! That's a very low production, when I got mine home I took it to a shop that works on nothing but 993's and 964's and they had never seen one in person

No kidding. I've been pretty active with pcars since about 2000 and in all that time I think the only one I've seen has been my friends.
