Default OT: Why my 993 does not need sound deadening and comfortable seats

Is because when I want to go for a drive, GT style. I take out my old V12
With 15mpg it is a good thing they put a 23 gallon tank in it...

Anyone else drive a 850ci as well?

Funny...I was just watching the same episode of Wheeler Dealers. Looks like the car they were fixing up was blue as well. I think it was a 840i. I was reminded how neat they look.

Love the BMW 850. Almost bought a white one with 17k miles. It still had some type of protective coating sprayed on the engine from the factory.

Great styling never ages!

I was considering one; either an 840 or 850, but they are tough to find in a manual.

Surprised you get 15mpg! Or maybe you're on Imperial gallons.........

I had the "privilege" to work on a few of the first generation V12s in the 750s ~25 years ago. Ugh.

It was an 840 but the body is the same. I would have tried to steal the 850 with the bad fuel lines but after Ken's comment I'd reconsider should the opportunity arise

Had a black with grey interior one once. We owned it for 2 weeks but it developed a bunch of electrical problems. Brought it to an indie (we bought the car from Tischer BMW) and they said it needed about $6k in work! We were floored and scared to death to own this car.

The dealer let us trade it back in for a 95 540i instead. That car ended up being one with the Nikasil engine issue so we eventually dumped it for our first new car, an Acura RL.

I loved that 850i. Beautiful head turner though the seats totally killed my back for some reason.

Yours is very "pretty!"

Totally love wheeler dealers. Great car-I had one for a month (many many yers ago I was a car stereo installer and I was doing a custom system for a client) what a great car, I had a 928 at the time and I like the BMW a lot better...

The 8-series is tempting but maintenance stories are scary.

I just bought the competitor's GT ('91 560SEC) after considering an 850 for some time. Beautiful car.
