Just ordered a set of Corbeau CR1 seats, Corbeau does not have a bracket for the 993. Has anyone tried using their universal bracket? Definitely want the seats as low or lower then OEM.
Thx

Everybody who has sat in them so far has liked the feel (including myself). They are definitely snug. I had about a 150 mile drive yesterday and they just seem to fit me.

If by universal bracket you mean the bottom mount with double locking slider then I can say that it works pretty well (at least for my FX1 Pro racing shell) but I did some modifications to mine to make it lower. I am 5'10 and wanted to be as low as possible so I could clear a helmet easily. I cut the rear fiverglass "legs" off the bottom of the shell which dropped my but about an inch and gave me a bit more rake to the rear. This was a perfect driving position for me. I also took the bottom cushion and cut the foam in half so further lower me.
They do offer a universal side mount bracket...I tried these and faught with them for a long time to get them in the car just to test fit the seat. I was pretty bummed after all the work that the seat was then off center in reference to the steering wheel (chest was a little to the left of center I think) and there was no way to adjust for that. So, I went back to the floor mount which is centered.
