Default Rear Seat Belt Assembly

Are the driver and passenger side seat belt assemblies the same in the rear of the car? They appear to be. I have found a couple on E-bay, but they have different part numbers.

and

I need a drivers side (US).

Thanks for any info.

Do you need new ones because your stick and dont retract? If so, they all can basically do that. When my daughters are in the back and pull them too quickly they will lock up. Just give them a hard constant pull and they will release and be fine.........until my daughters do it again. Anyway, hope this helps.

Dale,

I believe the difference in the part numbers for rear seat belts has to do with the car style. For instance, I own a targa which uses the 993-803-021-00 seat belts (same on both sides).

However, I believe the coupes and cabs may use different part numbers. According the Porsche PET, 993-803-021-02 is the LEFT side for a cab and 993-803-022-02 is the RIGHT side. I am not sure which the coupe corresponds to.

A simple check is to look at the green tag at the end of your seat belt and it should list the appropriate part #. You may also check these part #'s against fellow Rennlisters.

I checked my seat belts in my Targa, and both the passenger and the driver side were the same number. I have ordered a replacement. Thanks for the help and the tip on where to find the part number.

For info the part number was 993.803.021.00.

Dale - I bought one rear belt and ended up fixing the one I thought was broken before the replacement arrived. If you haven't already purchased, I'll dig up the part number and sell them to you at a fair price.
