OT: Best collision place in San Fran
As the title says, I need a couple "it" places to get top quality work. My brother was rear ended in his 2 week old VW GTI and I want to make sure he goes to the best for the fix. His insurance is recommeding either European Collision or German Motors Collision...thoughts on those?
Thanks!

When I needed warranty body work on my 1996 993, the Porsche dealer referred me to:
Hanzel Auto Body
456 23rd Street
Oakland
510 451 1889
The owner, Henry Hanzel is a great car guy (at least second generation)
I have used Hanzel many times since and have always been more than satisfied.

From: nowhere, but at least I'm getting there fast!
International Sport Motors on 9th Street in SOMA. They did VERY extensive work on my wife's BMW wagon and were very good, moderately slow, but good to deal with.
The other I know of, but have NOT used myself, is United Auto Collision Center in Burlingame. Alvin did the Yellow Bird there and his vintage BMWs. It is now apparently one of the go to places for the monied restorations. CLICK HERE FOR UACC

Not cheap but probably the top high end shop in SF. They just finished doing work on my Aston and it was top notch. Also in the shop was a 3.0 CSL and 912 so they know their stuff with german cars too.
No affiliation, blah, blah....
