Default Look up factory equipment via vin?

Hi guys,

is it possible to list the factory equipment, given a Vin? Can only a dealer do it?

Regards,

Erik

By "factory equipment" do you mean stuff like sport seats, sound package, paint to spec, Technology wheels, etc.?

There's an option code sticker in the inside center of the luggage compartment hood. Write these codes down and then search for "option code" on this site and you'll come up with a list of resources, lists, applets, etc. which will help explain the codes.

My local dealer was nice enough to look up six or so vine form me and email me the option list. Not sure if all dealers will do that though. Kind of funny that they were willing to do that for free but when I called them for an alignment, new tires and other service when I finally bought a car, they never called me back.

Official dealers can look it up on request. As mentioned, option codes are on the stickers under the hood and also in the service booklet that came with the car.

They must be busy...but wait, weren't we in a recession?

Auto atlanta does have it but you need a login. Website says not to contact them for a login unless you are a customer.
