I'm a DAD!
I am so very excited to announce that my wife and I were blessed with a beautiful son last Wednesday. His name is Kaden and he was 6 pounds 7 ounces. It was an extremely quick labor considering it was out first, from first contraction to first baby breath it was just over 5 hours! It happened so fast I could barely get my poor wife down the stairs and into the car! She was 7 cm by the time we got the hospital. It has been an amazing past few days and our hearts swell with love every time we look at our little Kaden

This is absolutely amazing!! May he enjoy perfect health forever!.
Just one word of advice:never use any words (such as "quick labour") that may, in any way shape or form imply directly or otherwise that the act of giving birth was anything less than pure torture and altruistic abnegation of the very self that is the wondrous woman who gave birth.
My wife gave birth to our first child, in what it semed to the untrained eye, a 2 hour 45minute span (by my Swiss watch no less from first contraction to actual delivery. I made the mistake to qualify that time lapse as quick in the context of the human birth experience. I also did in in public (friends, no less). BIG mistake. It may have been 2h45min, but in terms of human suffering it might well have extended into the next millenia. My wife is a stunning, highly intelligent woman (and no, she does not read this forum), not to mention understanding (take a look at my garage but I learned the hard way never to touch the subject of "birth" in any way other than reverential.

Congratulations! The arrival of our daughter 15 years ago and our son 13 years ago were the greatest days in our lives. They continue to astound and amaze us. May all of your future days with your newest family member be filled with joy.

Congratulations!
Gone are the reference's such as "we were living there then", or "I was driving this or that then"...everything, EVERYTHING will be about your son. Kaden was "x" years old when-insert event, vacation, etc.
My daughter Nina is 11 now, and there is no greater joy than being a parent. Everything changes, in a good way. Just wait till he's old enough to ride in the car. See if just sitting in it while idling soothes him, that'll do you both a world of good.
