Talking Show me your non-silver Cup II's!

I'm picking up a second set of Cups next week to use for summer/track duty. I was going to have them powder coated satin black, but I'm curious about what others have done besides the usual Argent metallic!

I think GPW would look pretty ballin', or a bright red or blue. Heck, even fluorescent orange, green, or yellow would be cool, but it depends on the caliper color. White's a good color to get funky with track wheel colors.

Here's an example of the centers painted in body color. I agree with Benton .. they would look great with GPW centers and even better if the rest of the wheel were brushed aluminum .. another opinion, just what you needed.

NOT white. Black is great for daily usage (I'm planning some flat black wheels for my car). Benton's other color suggestions are AWESOME for track....bright, so they see ya coming! However, I think you are planning on more general usage, and don't want to advertise "fast" to the local law enforcement folks... If you don't care about that, go blue/red/green on the wheels for some fun. Then you'd need the "Carerra" side script....

My track wheels are flat black, painted with a rattle can. It's held up for 4 years now, through about 6 tires changes. Still looks good.

I chose flat black because I didn't want to worry about brake dust spoiling the look. Works perfect.

Yeah, that's why I usually go with black..plus I've got a shop that will coat a set of wheels in any flavor of black for less than $200. I am really liking the polished/brushed lip look though!

I guess my personal caveats are that this is my one and only car (and I drive 50+ miles a day), and these will be used on the street and track. Oh, and I am still sporting the 4x4 US ride height spec..heh. So, loud and high maintenance colors aren't ideal for me, but I'd love to see any and all colors and combinations! If nothing else I can change the colors around in photoshop or whatever. I intended this to be more of a general "show off" thread rather than something centering around my own needs though.

Anyway thanks for the contributions so far, keep em coming!! These wheels really do come alive with a little creativity..

That looks way better than I thought! I almost bought a set of wheels locally a few moons ago but they had been painted white, and that scared me away. I'd hate to try and keep those clean around here though...yowsa!

Coo!! I've been thinking about painting my track wheels, and this is a great idea. Did you prep the surface before spraying? Any inputs greatly appreciated!
