Essentially anything on a track, including "high speed driving", not just timing, is now specifically excluded. I'm shopping around to others, and considering track insurance. This is for NY.

I just got collector car, stated value insurance from State Farm, and couldn't find ANY track exclusions.

Was just reading up a bunch on this. Looks like still state to state. Might also have a grandfather effect. My cab may be covered, but now the coupe is a new policy, and with it came some new fine print.

Did State Farm ask for an appraisal to justify the stated valve?

I did NOT provide an appraisal, but the underwriter was familiar with Ruf, and knew the value of a Turbo R. I provided a list of the upgrades along with list prices (don't ask how much... it's nuts) and the agent took lots of photos.

I just anonymously called my (NY) agent. My agent was pretty sure I was fine as long as it was not racing, but called underwriting. She came back and confirmed that there was a new "clarification of a previous exclusion". My interpretation: They realized "racing" didn't include DEs. Now the language includes anything on a track. She even said "new stuff gets added all the time, and sometimes even the agents aren't properly notified."

It did not say anything about while at a track facility, so I think a drunk redneck parking lot fiasco would still be fine.

Looks like I need HPDE insurance
