Has anyone done a lpmm and put a cutout valve in the bypass? So it would be stock or loud with a switch like the newer selectable sport exhaust?

About 4 or 5 years ago I posted up about trying that exact idea. Even talked to Robin Sun and he originally tried to do it as well. He ran into the same issue I saw...there is just no room to fit the valve in there.
It is a cool idea. The OEM valves on the newer 911s with the selectable exhaust might be smaller than the hot rod versions so they might fit.
So, having gone through all that, I just did the LPMM but with curved tubing. As it turns out, I never would have closed them off. I would run the LPMM open the entire time. They sounded great and not too bad on being too loud on a regular basis. No drone at all. They are pretty cool on the outside. Had my wife switch cars and she did a couple of drive by passes. Woo hoo!
One nice benefit was being able to hear the engine with a helmet on at the track.
Darin Fister also makes some real nice muffs with the changes on the inside.
Good Luck!
