Default Pressure washer recommendations?

I'm looking for an electric (110 volt) pressure washer... any looking for recommendations?

I've been told that models typically found at HD tend to output low PSI and low gallons per minute (GPM). And then there are the industrial models that can run up to $1500.

what do you guys use?

I've got a cheap and old Karcher which has lasted a long time surprisingly. Many of the cheap pressure washers nowadays have been known to fail early. You get what you pay for I guess. My unit has relatively low pressure which is fine for what I do (washing the patio, driveway and garage floor) . If you need to do some serious cleaning you might want a higher pressure unit.

I'd love more power, but higher pressure implies a 240 volt setup which I don't have, or gas powered which is loud and messy.

For now I'll settle for what Home Depot sells I guess

I have an inexpensive Simonize branded pressure washer and it works very well. I figure if it only lasts a few years, it cost so little, I can get another one. For a car, you don't want too much pressure but the one I have has also been great for washing my deck every year.

Default pressure washer

Have had/used several Karcher models over the years--no complaints. Get one with the wand that can control siphoning of soap, nozzle pattern and psi flow. It is important to run a can of pump lubricant/sealer at the end of each season and not store it in a sub freezing environment.

I hardly use my Kärcher consumer duty pressure washer on my vehicles and when I do, the wand is held so far back that the force of the water hitting my paint is about the same as that coming out of a garden hose.

Pressure washers have a great way of damaging parts where water isn't supposed to get into.

If you go for one, look for one with an induction motor.

Campbell-Hausfield PW1350. 110V. 1350 psi. Extra long power cord and wand hose. Adjustable nozzle. Simple, reliable, light weight, easy to use on home, trailer, car, walks, driveways. Inexpensive. Can be found on-line for about $100.

I look at these things as disposable. I had a decent Karcher one and failed quite quickly - in fact I had 2 which failed so I now just purchase a cheap one and throw it away when it breaks - I can buy 3 for price of one Karcher I had so would last me much longer. In fact, the cheap one has outlasted my Karchers
