I posted this in the wheel and tire forum but it doesn't seem to have as much traffic over there. This is also 993 specific.
I recently bought a set of 18" Work Brombachers.
I bought them a little while ago with plans on buying a 964 but that didn't work out. In the end I ended up buying the 96 C4S.
Question is: Is there a place where I can buy wider outer lips for the rear wheels?
I measured the the Front ET to be around 42mm
I measured the the Rear ET to be around 47mm
Front wheels:
Outside to outside:
Roughly 9.5"

Bead seat to bead seat:
Roughly 8.5"

Rear wheels:
Outside to outside:
Roughly 11"
![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h316/tripleg17_photos/IMG_0970.jpg)
Bead seat to bead seat:
Roughly 10"

So would I get by with just wider rear outer lips? Or do the wheels not work at all from the above measurements?
TIA

Those are 8.5s and 10s. The front offest is pretty aggressive, I would be cautious using anything wider than a 235 tire. The rears will work with a 10mm spacer. Alternatively, you can call FVD and see if they have wider outer barrels but be prepared to pay upwards of $300 a piece for those.

Here is work wheels response
Would I be ok with option 1, or that offset to low?
I'm still not quite sure what offsets these cars are need.
I think you have our 18x10.0 +47 A-Disk in the rear. There are couple ways to reach 11 inch width.
1. Replace the outer barrel (lip) with bigger size but keep the inner barrel you have. This would change the specs from 18x10.0 +47 to 18x11.0 +35 (A-Disk still).
2. Replace the inner barrel with wider size but keep the lip. This would change the specs from 18x10.0 +47 to 18x11.0 +60. Lip sizes would still be the same.
3. Replace both inner barrel and outer barrel at the same time. Your new wheel spec would be 18x11.0 +47 A-Disk so they are in between number 1 and number 2.

1. Offset would be too low. It will rub against the fender unless you put skinnier tires, but anything under 295 on a 11" wheel looks stretched.
2. I see no point in doing that. You will need a 15mm spacer in order to make it fit well. Might as well stay with the current spec and add a 10mm spacer.
3. That will work. Did they quote you a price? Not sure if it's cost effective.
Regarding offsets, you can run a maximum of +35 offset on a 10" wheel with a 285 tire or a +40mm offset on an 11" wheel with a 295 tire for aggressive look but no rubbing.
