NP...

When you put the velcro on the clip, use the entire piece. I first used small pieces just on the spots where the cups where, but that does not hold. If you use a piece of velcro that is 1x2 inches, then there will be a velcro bridge between the two suction cup holes. This makes a large surface area to clip onto to the window.

BTW.. The V1 fits Perfectly between the two shades.

Would take a picture, but car is in storage :-(

Hmm- the velcro sounds good. I have mine mounted up high by the mirror and hardwired as well, but the suction cups do fail every so often, especially in really cold weather before the car warms up.

Thanks David.

Like a lot of people, I hate those little suction cups...they... well......kinda suck.

BTW, cute as your avatar is, isn't she a bit older now?

...works great...Marc
Marc: When I first came across these Blendmounts last year, I looked at the mirror mount on my 993, and my recollection is that it is the wrong shape. Car is in storage right now so I can't re check.

Here is the Blendmount page where they show what won't work:

http://www.blendmount.com/porsche.html

Perhaps the 964 has a different mirror mount?

I think the Blendmount is about the best system I have seen, and am thinking of getting one for my Subie.

Sorry - I was not clear.

I have it mounted in my diesel tow pig.

I only speed in the 964 on the track.

We need to get Blendmount to make a unit for fat mirror mounts.

But the suction cup mounts have worked reasonably well for me.

Seems a lot for a clip $89..

industrial velcro - $5.99 at Radio shack..

Personally I like the radar above the mirror. Harder to see from front and back of car.

Just saying....
