Default 993 Front A-Arms

I was going to buy a set of A-Arms for sale in classifieds to install my Walrod bushings so I can just swap them out w/o too much downtime. However, the part # did not match when I looked at the left arm installed on my car. The one on my car does not even appear to be a 993 part#.

The Left arm part number does appear to match, but neither matches the PET.

Has anyone noticed this before?

Right A-arm

Left A-arm

The easiest way to ID the 964 control arm vs. the 993 control arm is the diameter of the ball joint pivot stud. It is larger on the 993. The diameter of the ball joint pivot stud is 13mm.

Production casting numbers = incorrect info

As Chris says, the hole is the way to tell if they are 964 or 993, M10 or M12 nut used

The number has changed from 00 to 02 ending

No. I've rebuilt at least a dozen 993 a-arms for Rennlisters over the last few years and am certain that each arm came with a 993 part number.

Installing the Warlrod's is very easy. there are tricks and you can do in 2hrs if you have good tips. I just did mine - one side took 1hr+ the other under 30mins (tips help speed things up here)
