[QUOTE=Benton;9330087] I got the covers from Rob Budd at Classic9Leathershop.com. QUOTE]

So are you saying he will just sell a pre stitched leather piece for the comsole or wherever without sending him the actual part?

Great choice on the CanCan color! Black dash / door tops & carpets?

Looking forward to seeing more progress!

Rob does sell just the stitched leather pieces, though I think you need some skills to be able to install them as nicely as Benton.

Again, thanks everyone. Don't give me too big of a head before I cover the upper and lower dash... I might screw it up!

Yes sir... but I wouldn't recommend giving it a shot until you practice on some other items, probably with cheaper leather. It's not hard, but like any craft, it simply takes time, effort, and screwing multiple things up until you get the hang of it. Since these pieces are pretty costly, and one bad cut can essentially screw up the whole thing, I'd say send it to Rob and let him handle the installation (unless you are a poor man like myself )

Can Can will be on the upper dash, lower dash, center console, door tops, rear window sills, rear deck upper portion, shift boot, ****, and probably seats once I'm able to afford new covers for the Recaro seats (black in the meantime). Carpets are black, and the remaining panels will be covered in some form of black yet to be disclosed (just ordered the upholstery).

os993: Oh yes. I'd consider myself a hobby-pro mechanic; for the past two years, I've had a business dismantling and occasionally repairing 928s. I've now shifted into design and clothing (check out the brand new site StudioTNS.com, just launched, with some 993 gear and more to come) and away from 928 parts now that I've learned some ins-and-outs of running a business. I finally have more free wrenching time to actually work on my own projects now that I'm working on 928s less.

Mark,

Looks like a great start. I'm planning on adding Can-Can Red to my car, while I'd like to DIY....I'm leaving it to the pros.

Benton, Any update on this project? Would like to see more pictures.
I am also having Classic 9 do some things for me. My car has blue vinyl and I hate it. Im having him recover: upper dash, lower dash, console, door tops, rear side top pieces, door inserts, door pulls and door bin lids. Doing it all in the original blue although I would like to go black. Just not sure how black dash etc would work with the other things in blue...which is why Ill probably just go blue.

Anyway, can you please post more pictures!! BTW, I love CanCan and would go that way myself but my car is Glacier White and the blue in the color wouldn't work.

I cannot keep away from the red leather interiors either (see signature). I've been lucky enough to find them factory original thought. I cannot imagine replacing/upgrading the interior panels all on my own. Best of luck!

Either here or on Pelican there was a discussion about which red leather was which. My COA says my car has "lobster." Bob Budd just convinced me that the color he used on my dash was in fact lobster, although it did not match the original leather. So, I guess I'll be making my car match the COA.
