Quick question: How do we make the donation - collected at the event?
Hi Dr. G,
Thanks for your inqury. Donations will be collected at the starting point. If you prefer to write a check, they can be made out "Survive the Drive" and "Lime Rock LLC" for $15 each.
That's awesome, would love to see it. I read a lot of good things about the "R" congrats!
Thanks Bob, I'm a little excited about it.
I'm going to miss the raw, visceral feel of the R32; but the Golf R's suspension is purported to be a little more civilized, yet provides better performance.
Also, the Golf R is a few hundred pounds lighter over the front axle than the R32. I think that is going to make all the difference in the world.
I'm going to miss the VR6's low end grunt; but the turbo I4 in the Golf R has more HP, and is easier and less expensive to upgrade. It was prohibitively expensive and incredibly difficult to try to wring extra HP out of the VR6.
But most of all, I am going to miss the glorious sound of the VR6; The Golf R just can not compete in that category.
