Heated seats and non-heated seats
Hey all,
I'm wondering if a car is delivered from the factory with non-heated power seats, can you swap in factory heated seats and just plug the connectors up and you're good to go? TIA

In my turbo I had heated seats and under the drivers seat, there were two wires/plugs. One is the larger square teeth 9 or 12 prong (memory is fading) and the other was a single plug clip wire.
What are those two separate wires for? Is it the same wire config on a non heated stock car?

JPP,. the answer to your question is - absolutely.
Let me know if you need details. I've installed Recaro Toplines (heated, ventilated) in my first 993 and 996 heated sport seats into my second 993. Installing heated 993 seats is even easier - the switches are in teh seats, unlike 996 and 997.
Tony, to your question about a single plug - that's a seatbelt receptacle wire.

JP, I have two OEM heated seats, Classis Grey, supple leather, Porsche crest in the headrests, fully electronic, from my 993 Turbo. Thomas (prior owner) removed the seats at about the 25,000 miles mark. They are in great/excellent shape. Let me know.
