Hi all. Im getting this knocking from the front end - especially when my front right wheel. WHen I drive up a rounded curb at slow speed you can get it to repeatably knock. I jacked up the wheel and noticed lots of play when forcing the wheel back and forth at 3 and 9 oclock position. I notice that the play is coming from inside the rubber boot on the right side of the steering rack. Just inside the suspension a-arms next to the tie rods. Looking at Robins DIY site, it seems that there may be a ball joint thats loose.

I checked the PET and the piece is 99334713101 (#4 in the picture). Has anyone just replaced this part or if it means an entire new rack? Whats involved in its replacement? Do I need to drop the rack or can I easily replace once the tie rod is removed?
