Default replace immobilizer battery?

I replaced the FOB battery with A23.

Pelican Parts sent me this link to replace the acutal battery in the immobilizer.

Good idea to prevent a future problem?

I did not order it.

They thought this was the battery for the FOB, but it was not - the FOB uses a standard A23 battery.

Pelican Parrts listed this on their website.

Abattery for the actual immboilizer contained in the car itself?

I believe #12 is the fob and all those components parts within it. See the little screw, etc.? #13 is the fob battery and the equivalent to the factory p/n is an A23.

If anyone is into electronics an A23 battery by Energizer is available from Digikey for $1.19...at that price, you can get a few as spares.

Or a Duracell from Newark Electronics for $3.69 per 2 pack or $1.92 each.
