MSW did I really read 294k on a 993TT? If that's true you are my hero! Care to do a feature on what work its needed over that time?

I think that if you have put 300k on a 993TT you certainly deserve a 575M.

1995 Cab - 104K love driving it and still very solid. It still gets looks and comments everywhere I take it. A timeless design.

When i bought my car it was a 2nd owner car. Being overly **** I graphed the mileage VS time and the mileage would spike every time it was bought by a new owner and then it would flatten out.
For instance 1995, car is bought new: 10k miles added to the odometer.
Next year 1996, Odometer read 16K
1997: 19k
1998: 20k
1999: Car is transferred to new owner: 28k
.....
2009, I bought the car: 48k
2010: 58k
Current: 64,xxx

I am going a similiar route. I bought the car as a driver and took it to the grocery store etc. but now I try to watch it's mileage and only take it when either required or when there I know I will enjoy the drive.

'96 coupe- 159,600 still runs great, and ditto I lose more oil from timing chain covers than anything else (replaced the lower valve covers a couple of years ago).

I don't think I've seen anyone claim that all 993's need a top end rebuild before 100K. What I've seen people claim is that many, probably a majority, of 993's need a top rebuild before 100K because of high oil consumption due to poor valve guide fitment at the factory. Some 993's don't need it, but most do. Does anyone actually dispute this?
