Default Service & detailing recommendations - LA area

I live in Santa Clarita, just north of the San Fernando Valley. As a soon to be 993 owner, I'm looking for recommendations for service & detailing. Thanks.

I would think that Torrance, or even Beverly Hills, where my mechanic is, is way too far from Santa Clarita.

Although I've never used them, I've heard TRE Motorsports in Van Nuys has a good reputation. They are very close to Santa Clarita and I hear they know 993s well and do good work.

TLG is in North Hollywood and they have a huge following on the Early 911S Registry board. They also have 964 customers so I'm guessing they work on 993's also.

+1 for TRE Motorsports in Van Nuys. They know 993's and are great guys to deal with. Ask for Jeremy or Dave.

Beverly Hills way too far from Santa Clarita? When I lived on Edwards AFB I'd had to drive to Mercedes Benz of Beverly Hills to get my ML500 serviced. At an hour and fifteen minutes plus depending on traffic, that was a haul. Santa Clarita to BH would be nothing. Then there was the drive to Bellflower to get my Airstream serviced. That really wasn't fun. Come to think of it, everything was a haul from Edwards.

Yup, Beverly Hils is way too far from Santa Clarita. These days, at least an hour or more each way.

Plus, SoCal has so many great Porsche mechanics, it'd make no sense to drive over an hour to find one.

There are several reputable shops in the San Fernando Valley that would be much more convenient to anyone living in Santa Clarita

OTOH many people came from 2+ hours away to get their cars aligned at West End.

agree there are plenty of mechanics spread out, but to each his own.

True, I gladly drive from Hollywood to Gardena, which is about 45 minutes, to have Darin align my car
