Default FS: stock black leather 993 seats

These came out of a 50K mile car and are in excellent condition. No damage, only the kind of wear typical for low-mileage seats. Do not want to ship -- in fact, can't ship, because my only car is my 993 and I don't know how I'd fit these in it -- so pick-up only in Washington DC. $750

Noah,
I may be interested in one of the seats if someone chimes in with a similar interest. And I can pick up.

Love the spiral staircase. Good luck with the sale, Noah.

Here's a spiral stair at our place... the former owners had the vision.

Gorgeous. That looks like a very expensive staircase.

Kika, I believe my 8-way seats were at 68 lbs each.

Noah, since they are sitting on a Persian rug similar to mine I can walk you through shipping procedure. Buy two "Medium Wardrobe boxes" at U-Haul. Put something soft on the bottom of the box. Fold the seatbacks forward. Put in one seat per box. Put some foam around so it doesn't wobble. Seal the boxes. Call UPS to come pick them up (extra $10 that buyer will pay anyway).

Thanks Mike. The other problem is that they were removed in the full forward position, so the rails are sticking out the back several inches -- not sure if they'll fit in boxes. And of course because they're 8-way power, you can't do anything about it with them removed from the car...

Kika -- I'm pretty sure they're not 68 pounds each. They're heavy to be sure. But probably more like 50 pounds each. I think there's hard info on this in the archives. I don't have a scale or I'd check.

Noah, Jumper cables from the battery will give you 12V and let you move the seats forward.

My OEM Turbo seats are sitting in my Home Theater room. They are heavy, but I don't think they are 68 pounds heavy. Could be though.

Good tip on the wardrobe boxes. I also recommend shrink wrapping the seats prior to putting in the boxes. Protects the leather. Then, modify the box to be shorter and take up some of the extra head-space.

This is why it's a pickup-only deal. I'm not hooking up the seats to the car battery. I'm not shrink-wrapping them. I'm not going out to buy boxes and foam. I live in the city. All this kind of stuff is a major PITA.

BTW, Andreas, do you need a good black seat or _a_ seat?
