Is it wrong to buy a 993 for a DD...and park it outside?

I leave mine outside all the time with no car cover and drive it every day. A cover in Seattle would just trap moisture and promote mildew. I do have to keep after the paint as it picks up stuff that falls off trees or otherwise finds its way out of the sky.

For sure I'd rather leave 996 outside (how is this even a consideration is beyond me) and most likely also the same thing for 997 but regardless, which of these cars will be with you the longest? That's the one that stays on the garage.

why wouldn't it be a consideration.

(That's why I also asked which car OP plans to keep the longest as then IMO that stays inside.)

I didn't pay attention (that it was a 6 TT), in that case it's a toss up although I think 10 years from now, a nice 996 Turbo will probably cost less than a nice 993 non-turbo.

A 996 is not inherently less worthwhile of garage coverage than a 993. Its not somehow less worthy. (not saying that you in particular said that, but thats the impression I get from others)

Tis a little confusing. I think the OP should clarify what is currently occupying his side of the garage. Then all will be clear..... maybe.
The way I'm reading it is that he wants another 993 or a NA 996 as a DD.
