Default Power steering pump seal kit?

I saw a thread mentioning that someone thought that BMW used the same pump in the 80's and that seal kits were available. Was that ever confirmed? Does anyone have a dead power steering pump that I could buy to salvage a part from? thanks Doug

Doug,

I know there is a rebuild kit that includes seals for the steering rack, but I haven't come across one for the PS pump.

Rebuilt PS Pump

Pelican has a rebuild kit for the ZF pump.

Hey Doug,

I doubt that very much. I've owned several 80's BMW and they all had much larger power steering pumps driven by the a fan belt. The 993 power steering pump is much more compact and driven by a toothed belt.

Cheers,
Joe
