Hot start...probs

Default Hot start...probs

I have a no v/r 993 and if I go out for a 1-2 hr drive and then turn off she doesn't want to start again, cranks over fine, cold start fine.... Leave it for 2 hrs and bingo!!...she's alive

New dme check!!

Crank position sensor???

Flux capasitor check!!

What do you think guys???

Leaky fuel injector, maybe more then 1.

Was going to answer on the other thread .... Sounds like a typical fuel pump check valve problem

Head temp sensor! I would put $$$ on it.

I believe it has 4 temp readings and one can go bad. Mine was on a warm restart as well.

Thought I would give a update.... Crank position sensor!!

But next time I'm up on the ramp I'm gonna change the cyl head temp sensor to....

Crank position sensors are becoming a little more problematic as these cars get older.

These two sit together and are subject to heat soak, hence the intermittent behavior.

I'm in the camp of wholesale sensor replacement on some of these when these cars accumulate higher mileage or live in hot climates. Sure beats walking, or even the aggravation of waiting for the tow truck (and all that entails).
