I used it about 6 months ago after a newly installed tire through a big bubble at the race track. The spare wheel got me home safely (60 miles) and I was glad to have it with me!

Yep, I had to use my spare in my last 993. It blew a tire 20 miles from home. The spare worked fine and certainly beats the resealer goop they give you instead of a spare on the newer cars!

Mine was 14 years old when I used it, but it worked amazingly well. It also immediately retracts to its compact size as soon as you deflate it.

I used mine the first year I owned ther car in 2003. Nail in the tire on a back road. The spare worked as advertised and was great.

Now the jack is another story...... A very scary piece of 'equipment'.

I was at Road America with No HTwo O (fellow RL'er) and he blew a rear tire on his 993TT. He moved the front wheel to the rear and put the spare on the front (per the manual). IIRC he drove back to Chicago like that - maybe he will chime in.

Love the compressor too. Such a nice piece of engineering.

I've used mine twice in nine years. Neither time involved a long distance but it was definitely handy to have the spare.

Yep. Blew my tire last November headed to Porsche Palooza in AR. Put the spare on and drove the 50 miles back home to my garage at a top speed of 45mph. Bummer!!!

Yeah, can't say it was fun. But it worked.

I used mine last year. Worked just fine. Only problem was that the compressor plug pulled my cigarette lighter out.
