Default 6 CD CHANGER

I HAVE THE OPTIONAL HI FI SOUND SYSTEM but with a cassette and am thinking of adding the Porsche cdc-3 changer. Does anyone know what harness is required? Are all cars a plug and play meaning that the wiring for adding a cd changer is already in place? I know I need the cdc 3 unit plus the mounting bracket and cover. Any help or comments are appreciated. Thanks, MACK

I didn't think the CDC 3 changer worked with a CR 1 radio?

Its one area tough to get info on.

aktung sweet targa btw!
i did have a cdc with my CR-210 (cassette no cd)
but it wasnt working and the mag was stuck so after
trying to remedy i just tossed the whole thing.
i will look for an MP3 aux that i can hook to the back
or to the harness to keep stock look.
perhaps you may want to go that route too.

I have a becker 2660 (equivalent to cdc-1 according to the internet) that's attached to a 996 mounting bracket but otherwise not being used.

Looks like (borrowed image):

cables available from Porsche or Becker directly last time I checked ->http://www.beckerautosound.com/

According to the DIY site linked above, 993 bracket part number 993 645 221 00.

Make offer?
