Paul, that's not what I meant. The 2.5 in my car was superior to the standard 192 hp 2.3 in every way. However, even at 240hp (I built mine to EVOIII spec) it still wasn't very fast. But what really disappointed me about the S14 was the way it sounds (think buzzsaw) and the fact that it shakes and vibrates like a paint mixer. The 170 hp M20 2.5 inline 6 in my 325is was nicer to drive as it was more tractable and much better sounding.

I respectfully disagree. I love the way the S14 motor sounds especially with an open DTM intake. Different strokes I suppose.

I always wanted an E30 M3 since I was a kid. I wished that BMW kept the flared fenders on all M3's, but since they didn't, it makes me appreciate the E30 M3, more!

It's hard to find one at a decent price, but a clean example like this one will only go up in value.....IMO.
