Wouldn't recommend URO. Sort of the eastern european equivalent of Lucas Electrics aka The Prince of Darkness.

+993 - Run away fast from URO parts.

URO = U Replace Often. Search the Mercedes Boards for nothing but horror stories from URO.

Well the problem is fixed. Thanks to TC garage I was able to get the switch the same day and replaced the crap URO switch. Sure enough the OEM switch worked like a charm. When the switch is activated, its 0.3 Ohms across the bullet connectors in case anyone is wondering.

I must have bought 2-3 UROs over the years trying to fix this problem when I should have gone OEM from the beginning. Please learn from my mistakes!

Is the switch. Location the same for a 997?

If it is a manual trans, likely yes. Most manual trans cars have a 2 wire reverse switch mounted in the housing that can easily be seen from below.
