I noticed that pelican offers 2 types - OEM and URO. Does anyone know if there is a difference? The OEM is 2x the price. I'm sure I didn't get OEM last time and maybe there is a quality difference.
Wouldn't recommend URO. Sort of the eastern european equivalent of Lucas Electrics aka The Prince of Darkness.
URO = U Replace Often. Search the Mercedes Boards for nothing but horror stories from URO.
Well the problem is fixed. Thanks to TC garage I was able to get the switch the same day and replaced the crap URO switch. Sure enough the OEM switch worked like a charm. When the switch is activated, its 0.3 Ohms across the bullet connectors in case anyone is wondering.
I must have bought 2-3 UROs over the years trying to fix this problem when I should have gone OEM from the beginning. Please learn from my mistakes!
