Default 993 headlamp deformity

Fellas,

I just got my little brackets from Sunset. I removed my headlight to take a look and it all looks very delicate, Im afraid of breaking something. Anybody out there done this replacement?

Thanks,

-Leon

I have problems with the pass side headlight only...I installed this new "spring" kit last summer, and it loosened still. Late this summer I noticed the pass side headlight was again slightly dimmer-bullb contact to housing is the ground ya know, so I opened it back up and pressed the clip back down slightly.

It does take some effort to install, but very straight forward...the clip can only go on one way, albiet a little confusing.

Thanks Mag, I need to just be careful.

The deformity originally lies in that excessive light bulb heat bends the bracket and eventually it just busts. New bracket can withstand the heat. If you have a bracket that keeps coming loose it may be something else.

I fixed it. The base of my headlamps was already quite deformed so it took some doing to get the replacement bracket to fit. To all rennlisters out there: don't put this off for another minute. Its a 3 dollar fix before your lamp base completely melts.

I've attached the Porsche service bulletin above....
