While I was changing the distributor caps & rotors I noticed two cables unplugged sitting on the left side (driver side) of the engine bay. The car has been driven for over a year and there does not seem to be any issues, everything works. So my question is; does anyone know what these two plugs should be connected to???? There are not very long so they must hook up mid way on the left side of the engine.

1)two wire cable plug; Green / White wire and a Red / White wire
2)two wire cable plug; Gray / White wire and a Red and White wire

I've been told here on RL that they are used for the Varioram. They switch some valves to change the intake tuning.

On the electrical schematics in the Porsche service manual, they connect to a "Shift Valve -Resonance Flap".

My loose connectors were located here...

Aren't these extra connectors related to the engine harness recall?
i.e. 95 911's got newer varioram wire harnesses as a replacement?
I have two un-connected connectors on the left side of my engine bay as well

My 06/1995 build 993 has them.

Whether the harness was installed at the factory being that close to the next model year, that I don't know.
