Default Big Reds, painted or powder coated from the factory?
Hello community,

I want restore my Big Reds. Are they Painted or powder coated?

And what is the paint code?

Richard,
I bead blasted my factory-original calipers to bare aluminum. Based on how the finish came off, I'd have to vote for 'paint'.

The top clear coat is painted on as well.

And I think the "PORSCHE" lettering was probably silk screened before the calipers received the aforementioned clear coat.

Crushed glass. I use that for stripping, and switch to fine glass beads if I need to give aluminum a nice satin look.
