Default Installation of Kenwood KDC-BT61U

I have been reviewing this forum some time, and now it seems to be time for a first question.
I bought a Kenwood KDC-BT61U, replacing a Grundig EC-7500. Since a suitable adapter for the ISO connections was included, I decided to connect the new device myself. It’s now working, but every time I start my 993 again, everything is zeroed; the device suggests even a demo every time… Furthermore, the ignition lock needs to be turned, before it’s possible to start the device.
Probably an easy fix, what should be changed and where?

Sounds like you crossed the switched and unswitched power wires. I did the same when I went from factory CDR-210 to a Kenwood.

Get the wiring schematic from the Grundig and the Kenwood and go over them very closely. You'll find the problem.

What Jeff said...I just installed a kenwood and had this issue. You crossed the red and yellow wires (constant power and switched power). Do a search as I just posted a thread on that.
